About Pacific Heights Strings

Katherine Johnk has many years of experience as a professional violist in orchestras, music festivals, touring and recording all over the world.  Over the years, she has been asked to perform at many private events, parties, social engagements, corporate bashes, weddings and any social occasion imaginable.  She has employed many fine musicians in this endeavor.  As a result of these requests and engagements performed, she has now established Pacific Heights Strings. She offers her services as a performer and facilitator to bring beautiful music to any setting or event. 

She and her musicians perform classical music including waltzes, tangos, pop and Broadway musical selections for any occasion, indoors and outdoors.  She also hires for recording sessions.  Her quartet was featured on ‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous’.  She has played on the ‘Regis and Kathy Lee Show’ with Smokey Robinson.  Her quartet also played at Tony LaRussa’s ‘ARF’ benefit live with Peter Cetera, lead singer for ‘Chicago’.  In addition to the string sounds that will compliment any event whether it’s intimate or on a grander scale, the client can choose to add a flute, harp, trumpet or mandolin to the ensemble for varied musical effects.
